What is included in a Resilience Coaching session?

You'll meet with me one on one and together, we will discuss your responses to a questionnaire that helps me get to know you, your interests, what stresses you out, and what it looks like for you to be more resilient in challenging situations that come your way. We will discuss different tools and techniques for some of your unique challenging situations and work on practicing one of the techniques.

After our discussion, we will take your pulse with a finger pulse reader and with the biofeedback software, we will be able to see your Heart Rate Variability in real time. Practicing the new technique, we will be able to see your heart rhythms shift to a different pattern on the computer screen. Your Heart Rate Variability patterns show us which techniques are working for you or not working for you. Over time, we will be able to hone in on the specific techniques that work for you, as we measure your coherence levels to see the techniques that most positively affect your physiology. 

Each coaching session, you will learn a different technique.  Results from other coaching clients have shown that after 4 coaching sessions, you will have a robust toolbox of techniques to utilize in challenging situations.

Discover what over 20 years of research on the science of the heart has helped us to learn about our physiological responses to stress. Backed by peer reviewed and independent research with military, emergency responders, healthcare, education, caregivers, and more, HeartMath® uses biofeedback software to explore personalized tools and techniques to help you self-regulate your body’s response to stress. HeartMath® tools and techniques are delivered only by a trained HeartMath® Coach, Trainer, or Health Professional.

What is the Community Resiliency Model?

The Community Resiliency Model (CRM) is a set of six wellness skills of the Trauma Resource Model® (TRM) designed to help adults and children learn to track their own nervous systems in order to bring the body, mind and spirit back into greater balance, and to encourage people to pass the skills along to family, friends and their wider community.
