Hypnosis. An in-depth exploration of the deep psychological processes that might prevent us from encompassing change and promoting well- being.
Holistic Therapies. An opportunity for individuals to experience a holistic approach to promote well-being and psychological health.
Explore the Art of Relaxation. This half-day workshop will introduce you to the art of relaxation and meditation as an approach to stress management in the workplace. Participants will discover how to relax, unwind and feel revitalised using simple techniques that are suited to all.
Activities of a more physical nature include:
Body Conditioning
Medium intensity aerobic conditioning to develop a healthy cardiovascular system, combined with targeted resistance work to strengthen and tone the major muscle groups of the body. Aerobic work is set to music and there is a wide range of equipment used for the toning session; for example: fre weights, Therabands, Swiss balls etc.
Circuit Training
High and low intensity circuit stations that aim to develop overall strength, flexibility and endurance. Circuits include resistance and aerobic work using body resistance and a wide range of equipment, specifically tailored to the needs of the class.
High Intensity Aerobics
A choreographed workout that is easy to follow but offers an intense cardiovascular and fat burning challenge for fitter individuals. The pace starts gradually then builds up to a higher intensity and impact aerobic phase, followed by a thorough stretching component to finish.
Stretch and Condition
A low to medium intensity fitness challenge that offers participants the opportunity to gently stretch and tone the major muscle groups of the body. It is an approach that is effective at improving flexibility, tone and range of movement.
Chair-Based Exercises
A low-intensity seated exercise programme targeted at those with limited mobility and range of movement. The emphasis is on safe and fun physical fitness, joint mobility and functionality ability.
Postural Stability
A holistic exercise programme for the prevention/management of falls. Components include strength, balance, bone loading, endurance, flexibility, and floor work. The exercise targets the main fracture sites, functional, postural and pelvic floor muscles, and improves coordination, gait and reaction time. The above are also available off-site.
